Green Matcha Tea Celebrations Against Viral Disease ๐Ÿต

Green tea is great but Matcha is best!

To keep it simple; Once inside our cells, Coronavirus releases an enzyme called 3CL (3-chymotrypsin-like protease). This enzyme attacks the cellsโ€™ defence mechanism against the coronavirus inhibitors ๐Ÿ˜ž

However, the best for destroying 3CL is quercetin and epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), which are found in green tea, and even more, of it is found in Matcha! More on quercetin another day

New research finds antiviral activity from epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), blocked severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) from binding to human angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) receptors and can subsequently prevent infection of human lung cells. This action was also observed in the SARS-CoV-2 variants of concern (VOC).

Matcha green tea is made from the entire leaf that is stone-ground into a fine powder. It is much more concentrated than regular green tea, so you only need ½ to 1 teaspoon per cup.

Some low-quality matcha teas can be contaminated with high levels of pesticides and other harsh chemicals including arsenic. These can add to health problems and hinder the health benefits of this powerful tea. So please, avoid using tea bags. Teabags can contain broken leaves and dust that considerably lowers the quality of this magic powder.

I love the idea and have so much support for EGCG as a safe and cost-effective natural arrow to include in our quiver, as archers against disease.
